Challenge 2: Letter Writing

"To get credit for this challenge, write one or two special letters, to friends, grandmother, or other relatives. Grandmothers always love letters from their granddaughters, so if you can't decide who to write to, I would suggest your Grandmother!"
I sent one letter to my SSA.
And four thank you cards.

Eagerness and Delight: A Proverbs 31 Challenge

A young lady named Elissa started this wonderful idea of a Pro. 31 Challenge for other young ladies, in part, to go along with a give-away that she is having. And also as another learning tool for those of us who are still in 'training.'
I thought this was a wonderful idea and decided to join in too!
The first challenge was yesterday-- 'Cooking for your Family."
Now, this night was a very busy one for our family [My Dad and brothers had been working all day, we had Church and my sister had Soft Ball practice.] And needless to say, dinner had to be quick and easy! So with the help of one of my sisters, we made: Baked Ham and Turkey Sandwitches, Stir-Fry Veggies, Carrots, Homemade/Whole Wheat Mac'n'Cheese and Baked Beans.
Nothing fancy, but it sure was good!
The Final Product!

Glenn Becks Principles and Values

The Nine Principles:
1. America is good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
12 Values:
• Honesty
• Reverence
• Hope
• Thrift
• Humility
• Charity
• Sincerity
• Moderation
• Hard Work
• Courage
• Personal Responsibility
• Friendship

To Everything

You know, some days I feel like I am so grown up. At age 17, I think that I have gone through so much and learned and seen a ton-- that there's nothing new to this life. But I just got to thinking... 'Who am I kidding???' I have so much more to learn, see, hear and experience! I have only scratched the surface!

Girls, those of you who are around my same age, please take life slow! Don't try and speed things up, or grow up too fast. A time and place will come for that; but for now, enjoy being in you Dad's home. Enjoy, the times spent will your little brothers and sisters. When your little sister comes to sleep with you, even if she takes all the covers-- be thankful! There will come a day when it is time to leave the home of your youth and embrace the role of a wife. There will be a day, when you wake up and realize that your little sister no longer needs someone to sleep with at night. [ Yes, a personal story :)!]

As, I type this I am crying, thinking of the years gone by, but then, at the same time I look with eager anticipation to what the future may hold for my family.

:::::::::::::::
“ To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die… A time to kill and a time to heal; a time to break down, a time to build up; A time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to morn and a time to dance… A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to cast away… A time to love and, a time to hate; a time of war and a time of peace.
He hath made everything beautiful in HIS time.”
